Description
The sun lowers over the Snake River at Ox-Bow Bend in the Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming. There was a long line of cars on the side of the road to see this sunset. I was lucky to be standing in front near the river to get this shot. The colors in the clouds, mountains, river, and sky were beautiful. The park is a treasure and you get a strong sense of awe just driving through it. The establishment of the park, with considerable help from John D. Rockefeller buying up enough private land to account for much of it, was one of the best things that he and the U.S. government did for the country. In addition, Yellowstone Park and its other-worldly thermal pools and wildlife, is a short drive away.
